Day 2 Tuesday
13 Sept Prague Temp low 20s
Get up early 7 am for a pre breakfast walk to Charles Bridge.
Beautiful clear sunny morning and no crowds and we are able to get experience the bridge without the hustle and bustle of crowds. We have a leisurely breakfast afterwards and
decide what to do. Ann and I decide to go to Our Lady of Victory church where
the Infant of Prague resides. We miss a turn but end up at the John Lennon
wall. A wall filled with graffiti, most of which is dedicated to John Lennon.
We ask for directions from a policeman and find our way to the church. We meet
up with others around noon and Ann, Karen, Kaye and Luggy go to a Salvador Dali
exposition while Ross and I wait outside in a bar and have a few beers and
watch the crowd go by. Ann thought the
exposition was really good and liked the “Mucha” display. We then have pizza
for lunch and take a leisurely stroll back to the hotel stopping at a street
market and later coffee and cake before
arriving back at the hotel for our highlight dinner. The dinner was very good.
Food great and local dancing and singing was entertaining. I had a traditional
Shivaska which is braised beef in a cream sauce with potato dumplings. Tomorrow we head off for our river cruise.

A beautiful crisp morning on the Charles Bridge with little or no other people there. You can really see the beauty of the bridge and the area around it.
We all touched the stars on the cross of St John and made wishes.
After brekky went back to Old Town area and John bought a glass sculpture.
Enjoyed the Dali and Mucha exhibition, Dali was a real mad man.
Lunch at Giovanni’s pizza was in an old building with interesting ceilings.
Highlight Dinner was really enjoyable with lots of Czech Folk Songs and dancing ( sometimes a little too much singing and dancing)
Will be sad to leave Prague, it is a beautiful and welcoming city.
